You’ll also learn about the different types of fall arrest systems available today and how they work. In this blog, we explain everything you need to know about our fall arrest course. This is why our course contains vital information on safety, legislation, regulations, and best practices while working in these conditions. The course also includes lots of information on the hierarchy of control measures relating to working at height to help minimise any potential risks of falling and causing injury or damage. ## **Why Do You Need Safety Courses When Working At Height?** One of the **[leading causes of death and major injuries](https://www.abilityint.com/blog/working-at-height-safety-breaches-have-rocketed-84-ability-international)** in the workplace is working at height so safety harness training is necessary to avoid life-changing injuries or death, to yourself or an employee. With our safety harness training, you’ll learn how to use fall arrest and safety harness systems correctly, including how to inspect them for damage and wear; how to use them with restraint systems; how to attach them properly; and how to use them safely when working at height. ## **The Importance Of Personal Fall Protection Equipment** For anyone working at height, personal fall protection equipment (harnesses, fall arrest blocks, restraint lanyards) is critical. The user must be able to **[inspect and use the device correctly](https://www.abilityint.com/blog/what-responsibilities-do-employees-have-working-at-height).** It’s not just a case of putting it on and hoping for the best; these devices must be maintained in good order for them to work effectively. In this course, you will learn about the importance of personal fall protection equipment, how to inspect and maintain your harness correctly and how to inspect and maintain your personal fall arrest system correctly. **[Request a quote](https://www.abilityint.com/request-a-quote)** now for our Fall Arrest and Safety Harness Systems Course!
